After an upbringing in catering I opened my first flower shop 'Jasmines' at the age of 19. A pretty tea rooms with a florist business at the back, had caught my eye,in my home town of Bampton in Mid Devon. Within a few months, the flower bug had bitten and the flower part of the business began to grow and grow, eventually expanding and moving to Taunton, and the beginning of Eden. Evolving from high street florist to a Florists and Flower School in St.James street and now as a wedding flowers specialists in my home based studio in Chipstable. Achievements: – I have a level 5 Master diploma in floristry, have competed in national competitions, the most recent being the prestigious ‘RHS Chelsea Florist Of The Year’ competition in 2017. I have also featured in national floristry publications and taught at Bicton College in South Devon. My fondness of teaching was indulged when I launched Eden Flower School, running workshops, short courses and demonstrations in the distinctive ‘Eden’ style. The move to the home studio has meant the flower school is no longer viable, but, we now offer Éden Intensives' . Small specialised workshops for individuals or small groups and the occassional seasonal events at local venues. A country girl through and through, I can often be found foraging for seasonal treasures to add into my floral designs. I live with my Husband and two sons, who often lend the muscles and aid in the construction of props for your weddding flowers.

I started my career in floristry straight from secondary school, when I stumbled upon an advertisement for an apprenticeship as a florist in my home town of Chard. Floristry hadn’t even occurred to me, but I discovered a passion and talent for floral design, seeing me work my way from apprentice in Chard to Manager at Eden in Taunton where I have been since the beginning of Eden. The decision to start a family meant a step back from floristry for a while, during which time Eden evolved from florist & flower school into a specialist in wedding floristry. I live in a village on the outskirts of chard, with my partner and two daughters, meaning a fair trek to work and back but Eden is a part of me and the drive a peaceful part of my day.
